The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and Jeppesen are pleased to announce the immediate availability of internet-based access to Jeppesen's worldwide library of aeronautical terminal navigation charts and text documents. All members of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Coast Guard (USCG) may now access every approach, departure, arrival, terminal airspace, and airport familiarization chart published by Jeppesen, as well as Airway Manual® text documents (NAT Tracks, noise abatement procedures, etc.) and FAR/AIM, from any web-enabled computer. Users may search, browse, and filter the worldwide library, save common routes of flight as RoutePacks, print an unlimited number of charts or documents from the site, and save charts and documents as .pdf files for exchange via E-Mail.
Jeppesen (also known as Jeppesen Sanderson) was founded in 1934, by Elrey Borge Jeppesen, a pilot working for Varney Air Lines, who was the first to make aeronautical charts for pilots to navigate in flight. For more than 80 years, Jepesen has helped aviation professionals worldwide reach their destinations safely and successfully.
- Will Jeppesen terminal charts be geo-referenced in ForeFlight Mobile? Yes, approach procedures, taxi diagrams, and many departure and arrival charts are geo-referenced so that you can view your aircraft ownship on the chart. This feature, along with Plates on Maps, requires a ForeFlight Pro, Pro Plus, Performance Plus, or business subscription.
- From Jeppesen: The other TERPS badge, positioned horizontally in the upper left hand corner of the minimums box, is a new product specification designed to indicate when the landing minimums for that procedure have undergone the TERPS Change 20 conversion.
DoD and USCG may request a user account to utilize the service at no charge to the user. Each user should register for a unique user name and password.
